This isn't exactly breaking news but I didn't see any posts about it yet. Wankers.

Evidently feeling gamers struggle when they have to count past three, it appears Konami is to drop the number from the title of its next Silent Hill game, with Konami US having copyrighted the name: "Silent Hill: The Room".
We brought you news back in January that preliminary work was already underway on a new instalment of the masterful horror series. But what's in a name? Precisely what horrors lurk in 'The Room' is not something we're comfortable contemplating, but it's a safe bet to assume it will be particularly foul and terrifying.
We contacted Konami Europe for clarification, but a spokesperson refused to comment on the matter. Keep it here for everything on Silent Hill: The Room, as it breaks.
Although vague, "The Room" is a rather cryptic title and fitting for the next installment of what we all know is the scarriest gaming series ever. Rumors report that the protagonist is apparently male, and may have a relation to either the Masons or the Sunderlands. But again, all heresay.
What exactly does "the room" refer to? Could it be the room in the Alchemilla sub-basement where Alessa was kept for years? Perhaps it's Room 312 of the Lakeview Hotel where James and Mary stayed. For all we know, it could refer to a room in an entirely new story altogether, with never-before-seen characters.
It's been known for some time that SH4 has been in development. We also know that the voice actor that portrayed both Angela and Claudia has signed another contract with the developers. The website mentioned above lists SH4 as scheduled for release on December 31, 2004 -- over a year from now, but probably worth the wait.
